Registration is now open.  


The NCA Institute for Faculty Development, also known as the “Hope Conference,” is a small conference that provides undergraduate Communication faculty members opportunities to solicit feedback on scholarship, to build collaborative research and pedagogical relationships, to learn about new directions in theory and pedagogy, and to develop new course area expertise. The 2017 conference will be held at Denison University in Granville, OH. Faculty seminars include "Communication & Sport," led by Michael Butterworth (Ohio University); "Qualitative Research," led by Laura Ellingson (Santa Clara University); "Family Narrative," led by Jody Koenig Kellas (University of Nebraska); "Queering Rhetoric & Communication," led by Charles E. Morris III (Syracuse University); and "Health Communication," led by Teresa Thompson (University of Dayton). Raymie McKerrow, Ohio University, will serve as the 2017 Scholar-in-Residence.
