2014 marks the 100th year since the National Communication Association’s founding in Chicago, Illinois, where 17 speech teachers formed the National Association of Academic Teachers of Public Speaking. Today, the association has thousands of member scholars, teachers, and practitioners of the communication arts and sciences.
